Computing Basics     9:30 am & 11:00 am

This course is designed for those who have some basic computing knowledge — from Beginners onward. Topics covered include basic mouse skills; managing, using and personalising the desktop; exploring the start menu content & how to use it. You will learn the keyboard components and how to use your keyboard to move around your document, select and format text; and add numbers. Also learn to create and save documents using Word 2010; and organise files into appropriate folders. You also learn how to save your work onto a USB Memory Stick.

NOTE: This class is offered twice to accommodate student numbers. Students would enrol for only one class.

This course is about learning your way around iPads and iPhones and includes:

What you can do with these devices
How to add Apps (application software)
Where and how to get Apps (both free & not)
Using cameras
Email and FaceTime
Siri
Contacts
Using Maps
Editing text
Using the internet
Putting music on
Getting books
Podcasts
You will need to supply your own iPhone or iPad for this class.
